The Bumbles mixed ability team have made the news. Follow the link to the T & A website.

Please also note. Unless you have been specifically told otherwise by your team manager all away fixtures are off this week.
There is no rugby or access to pitches at Wagon Lane until further notice.
Ground temperature and covering means the pitches are dangerous and therefore OUT OF BOUNDS for any purpose until an update is put on this site.
There is also considerable snow coverage in the car park so please do stay away until this has been cleared.
Updates will be posted on the site as soon as we have them.
ELRA Course at the Bees.
There is an ELRA 1&2 course arranged at the Hive on 31 January and 7 February. We need to fully support this event. See the coach development page for details.
Please note that no rugby will be played at Wagon Lane tomorrow. As I am sure you can imagine the pitches are frozen and therefore unplayable.
Alternativley if you would like to take some air Dave Morris will be conducting a 'Winter Walk' from 10.30 am at the club. All are welcome, but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Finally from all at the club have a Very Happy Christmas.
We will see you in the new year.
Junior Bees.
The team with no name re-launches after the
Players chose to beâ¦the Bumbles.
Part of the re-launch plan is to include able
bodied players.
The Bumble Bees now consist of players with and without Learning and Physical Disabilities.
The Bumbles are still receiving specialist coaching from RFU Representatives Hamish Pratt and Neil âthe Daddyâ Spence (when childbearing permits).
Dave âDiehardâ Morris supplies additional coaching.
Mixed ability team advice has been received from the coach of the Llanelli Warriors in West Wales who have 15 seasons of experience.
Warriors Coach Gwilym Lewis has suggested passive scrums and advised us on the use of different strip for players who cannot participate in full contact rugby.
Gwilyms' Warriors have challenged the Bumble Bees to a game but first there is the hurdle of the magnificent âFat Boy 7sâ Tournament in May 2010.
The Bumble Bees are still recruiting new players, contact

Please remember those with Learning and Physical Disabilities may need your help and support to join and attend regular training sessions.
Yorkshire Coaching Conference - 10 July 2010 @ Ashville College, Harrogate. Cost £40 for a full days coach education - I went last year and it is well worth the money. Check out the coaching page for more details.
"WE DID IT" The u16's won a close fought contest away at Moorside yesterday 30-31.
Apart from our first game of the season ( which was a joint effort with u17 players) we have not been able to field a full team so far this season. This week we took to the pitch with just 12 players thanks in part to our 2 guest players Joel and Jamie who had played for their school less than 24hrs before.
Moorside were excellent hosts and very kindly reduced their numbers to match our 12. Both sets of parents were then treated to a very exiting, end to end, game in which the lead changed hands a number of times. Far better to watch than England the day before.
As usual all the lads played very well. Man of the match was TRISTAN who, returning from injury this week, had a stormer of a game which culminated in a try saving tackle in the last minute of the match. Well done boys keep up the good work.
Cheers Mick
Team match reports are now available on some 'Fixtures/Results' pages, check and follow the rugby ball link.
BEES U8's are the champions!!!!!
Well done to the BEES U8's who continued their superb start to the new season winning the Acorn tournament at Moortown Rugby Club.
The BEES showed excellent defence and conceeded the least number of tries of all 5 clubs in the tournament. In attack we were unstoppable and we grew stronger with each game.
All the games were thoroughly entertaining with some superb rugby on show. The team deserves great credit especially with the quality of the teams that were involved in the competition.
Boys i think you all deserve a mention for your efforts, well done to:
Callum, Rohaan, Joshua, Joe, Dylan, Matty, Mason, Ethan, Oliver, James, Afnan, Daniel, Tom, Jack - You made us all proud lads
Thanks again for the support of the family and friends, it was nice to see you were as emotionally involved as the coach!!
Please send any pictures you have into the website and please view the Junior Hive News picture section
We have had a kit malfunction folks! Can the parent/s that picked up shirts (small boys/medium boys) from Andy Collis please check the backs of the shirts for names. Some personilsed stock has been mixed in and shirts that read 'Joe' and 'Tom' have gone out to the wrong people.
Please contact Andy Collis on 07960961929 or contact us at the site and we will swap the shirts.
We have two of our under 13 side who were successful in gaining selection to the district under 13 squad. Very well done to:
George Akester
Tom Fountain
A great achievement. We look forward to further updates on their progress and hope to get a couple of mugshots on the site in the next few days.
Again, subs are due this week please. If you have not paid to date due to financial constraints we do have a scheme to offer discounted membership to people with genuine need.
Please contact Gillian Butler on 07760785917 or email through the site. Any applications are treated in the strictest of confidence.
Parents/Guardians
Please be aware that matches start in just under 2 weeks time and players are required to be registered before they can play. The registration fee of £50 per player (discounts on multiple players from same family) covers the whole season and includes the after match food but most importantly the insurance. It is for this reason that boys who are not registered will not be able to play in the matches.
Thank you in advance
Damian Cameron
U8's coach
On Sunday 20th September the junior Bees were invited to play during half time at the Leeds Carnegie v London Irish Guinness Premiership rugby match. This was a fantastic opportunity for the boys to experience playing in a first class stadium.
The U8's kick started the 09/10 season in style with an encouraging last minute victory over Yarnbury. On a pitch that was unusually wide, defense was always going to be difficult but the bees defended admirably. Time after time there were try saving tags, with the defensive line keeping reasonable shape during most of the game.
In our offensive game there were glimpses of what is to come this season with more passing than we had last year. This is something that will progress nicely as the year goes on and a superb last minute move which involved a switch pass by Ethan sent the whole Yarnbury team running in the wrong direction leaving Matty the space to open his legs and give the Yarnbury juniors no chance of catching him.
It was a fantastic day and the boys did us all proud, It was a nice little reward for the effort the boys gave last season. I would like to thank all the parents who supported this day, without your interest it wouldnt have been possible. The level of support and encouragement is a fantastic motivator for the boys and I.
Thanks also to Chris Mantle and Gareth Kirkby for refereeing and assisting, its fantastic that other junior coaches are willing to support our U8's
The new seasons games start shortly and the team has been strengthened by a couple of new players who im sure will be an asset. I look forward to what i honestly believe will be an exciting year. We have started well as Yarnbury are traditionally a well drilled team, but our boys had the discipline in defence to edge the victory - well done lads - every one of you played brilliantly!!!!

ENGLAND CALL UP!
Morning All
I received some good news last night:
Mathew Beaumont who had been a junior member for a number of years up to and including last years u15's (he is now at Leeds Acadamy)has been picked to play for England's Under16 team as prop forward.
He joins a growing number of Bee's juniors who have over the years have represented their country at there respective age group.
The junior section and club as a whole should be very proud of his achievement, lets hope we have many more to come.
Regards
Mick
