 CPD - Continuous Personal Development...

The Continuous Personal Development (CPD) series in Coaching Rugby Union has been developed by the RFU Coaching Department Team.

A range of short courses are available to further develop coaching expertise. These help to develop your knowledge / application of technical, tactical, physiological, psychological and lifestyle factors that affect a player’s performance.

Lets face it, you want to become a better coach and give those in your team the possible chance of becoming the best players that they can be. The only way to do this is to commit to personal development, learn from your peers AND make sure you add more depth to your understanding of the coaching process by attending CPD courses.

As a junior section, we need people to step into the middle and officiate on Sunday mornings. For players, you will get a better understanding and see the game from the referees perspective. This can only help you become a better player.

For parents or others interested, you can support the club by helping out as a match official. You will become a qualified referee achieving the Entry Level Refereeing Award. If you are interested please speak to the CrefC (Club refereeing coordinator) John Gray. Current referee courses are available through the below link.
