BEE-come a PLAYER Click me.
Coaching is, first and foremost, about working with people and encouraging players to enjoy the positive benefits of rugby and to help them achieve their potential.
Coaches play a crucial role within rugby and can also have a significant influence on the well-being, social development and aspirations of those they coach. Whilst anybody can coach, an effective coach will need to fulfill a number of different roles and accept a variety of responsibilities. You will need a good understanding of the coaching process and how to apply it so that you adopt a player-centred approach at all times. This may seem daunting at first - we don't expect you to become an expert coach overnight - but at the Bees we will support you to become the best coach that you can.
Using RFU coach development pathways, we can give you the skills to develop your own coaching philosophy. From the enthusiastic helper who wants to take the first formal steps in coaching, you can progress through Rugby Ready Courses (setting the foundations of your development) through to Tag and level 1 and 2 awards. At all times, in-house coach mentors along with the Club Coaching Coordinator will be there to help, support and work with you to develop your skill. For established coaches we host and have access to ongoing development courses to enhance your approach and make sure our players get the best coaching available.
